The Lionel Corporation and Disney produced this spectacular 15-piece Mickey Mouse Express Train set for the Bi-Centennial in 1976. The set is complete, mint and includes the very scarce Mickey Mouse 10-1/4" "Happy Birthday" car. Most of the train's box cars have never been removed from the boxes. Each one features a different Disney character with brilliant graphics and sliding doors on both sides. Dominating this 15 foot long set is a 13" diesel engine and its 15-1/2" box. Also included are a caboose (9-1/2" box) and 13 Disney character 10" box cars with 13" boxes.Besides another Mickey car, other box cars feature Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Bambi, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Dumbo and the picture "Fantasia."Most of the box car boxes are mint. One has a small 1/4" stain and four have slight edge wear. The engine's box has slight soiling and a 3/4" label residue. It also has a 1/4" tear in one corner. A spectacular and hard to find set complete and boxed.
