The Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum (BCCCM) is open and welcoming guests at a limited capacity.  It is important to us that ALL VISITORS have a safe and enjoyable Museum experience; therefore we ask that you be considerate of others and aware of your surroundings.

The BCCCM will be abiding to the guidelines and regulations set by the state, federal, and local authorities and will follow all best practices concerning public health and social distancing.  The BCCCM has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however the BCCCM cannot guarantee that you and your party will not be exposed if you choose to enter the property. As set forth in state guidance, while these guidelines have allowed the BCCCM to open as safely as possible, the risks to visitors cannot be fully mitigated.  The Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum assumes no liability for this potential exposure.

  • We kindly request that guests who are not fully vaccinated wear a mask while visiting the Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum.
  • Please respect signage on the grounds, including social distancing markers and signage regarding maximum occupancy in exhibit areas.
  • If you or someone in your party is experiencing COVID-19 CDC-defined symptoms, you may not enter.  If you believe you may have been exposed to the coronavirus we ask that you do not visit at this time.

Special Rates:

  • Military (w/ Current ID):  As a Blue Star Museum, the BCCCM provides FREE admission to active-duty military personnel and their immediate families year-round.
  • Wednesday, November 3rd through Wednesday, November 24th, when you donate a Non-Perishable Food Item through the BCCCM for the Cheshire Community Food Pantry, receive $1.00 OFF Same-Day Museum Admission! (Discount applies to same-day Museum Admission purchases ONLY.  Offer cannot be retroactively applied nor utilized towards future Museum visit.  Cannot be combined with any other coupon, promotion and/or discount.)

Group Tours

To help facilitate the best possible experience for our guests, we kindly ask that groups of nine or more book a tour in advance.  (Due capacity limitations, larger groups may be turned away if proper arrangements are not made.)

Whether you would like to arrange for a small, private viewing of the Museum or ensure that special arrangements are made for your larger organization, groups of any size are welcome to book tours at the Barker Character, Comic and Cartoon Museum!

While there, visit the adjacent Barker Animation Art Gallery to see an amazing collection of animation art, fine art, and collectibles available for purchase.  You can stroll the extensive grounds and pose for pictures with our life-sized cartoon character cut-outs. Then visit Connecticut’s largest cartoon mural for more pictures and test your knowledge with our trivia quiz.
